Frequently Asked Questions
Where do sessions take place?
I currently offer tele health appointments to client in both Virginia and Oregon. You can take your tele health appointment from the comfort of your home or some other place of your choice. Therapy needs to be confidential, so finding a confidential and safe place to take your appointment is crucial.
How long will therapy last?
Sessions last 50 minutes and are typically scheduled once a week. However, depending on your particular needs and circumstances, sessions can take place more or less frequently.
There is no set timeframe for therapy. Therapy may vary in length depending on your personal goals, needs, or level of commitment. Therapy can last a few weeks, a few months, or a year or longer. Attending therapy is not mandatory and it is your choice when to terminate.
How do I know you are the right therapist for me?
Please feel free to call for an initial 20-minute consultation. You can tell me a little bit about yourself and your situation, as well as ask me questions about my approach, style and services. I will be more than happy to answer your questions and help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Oregon: I accept OHP, Providence, Pacific Source and Out-Of-Network.
Virginia: Out-Of-Network. I am happy to provide you with a monthly Superbill which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement based on your Out-Of-Network benefits.
Please check with your Insurance first as I can't guarantee reimbursement. Clients are responsible for paying the fee at time services are rendered.
What if I need to cancel a session?
If you need to cancel a session, 24 hours advance notice is required. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the normal session fee will apply. It may be possible to reschedule an individual session, depending on availability.
